Since 1955 John’s has been serving Southeast Kansas and the surrounding 4 state area. In 1955 John A. Gariglietti opened a war surplus store and quickly added outdoor sporting goods. He loved a good hunt with good friends! In the 1960’s he built a larger location at 16th and Broadway in Pittsburg, Kansas and changed the name to John’s Sport Center. In the mid 1970’s business operations were taken over by John’s middle son Steve and his wife Kathy. In 1976 they moved to 1806 N. Broadway and more than doubled the footprint of John’s. JSC has continued on as a family owned and operated business. It is now under the helm of the third generation, Adam Gariglietti.

Charles and his family began Safe Home Consulting after he served 16 years in the US Army. What began as a small consulting and training business, in the state of California, with very few items for sale, has grown into a full scale partnership with Bear Beam Firearms in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Charles is a former U.S. Army Instructor, Bradley Fighting Vehicle Master Gunner, decorated Gulf War veteran, NRA certified trainer, NRA certified Range Safety Officer and has received numerous military awards. During the Gulf war he received 2 Bronze Stars, one for Valor. While a Sergeant First Class assigned as a Platoon Sergeant in Korea, his training standards earned him a Meritorious Service Medal. His awards also include being inducted into The Order of St. Maurice (who is the patron saint of the U. S. Army Infantry), for his contribution to the U.S.Army Infantry Branch . Charles has trained numerous civilians, military and law enforcement.

Shooters Service StorefrontShooters Service was started by our Founder Robert Pattison in 1975. “Bob” started in the gun business by representing the L-Tronic night sight and selling AMT firearms. The L-Tronic was the first law enforcement night site system.In 1977 Shooters Service opened it’s first retail location which, was located on Eight Mile Road in Livonia, Michigan. In 1981 the store was relocated to our present location near the corner of Six Mile Road and Middlebelt Roads in Livonia, Michigan.
For the last twenty years we have operated one of the Metro Detroit Area’s finest and largest specialty firearms and archery stores around. Currently the store is owned and operated by Roger Little, President and General Manager.
Our main asset is you the customer. A close second is our experienced and knowledgeable staff. Most of our staff has ten to twenty years each in the gun business.
Shooters Service carries only top brand merchandise from quality manufacturers. We stand behind the products we sell and provide excellent service.
