Alquist Arms has been supporting your 2nd Amendment since 1994. Alquist Arms started in downtown Turlock at 120 South Center Street and in 2014 the owners Richard and Mary Alquist decided to expand their business and open another store off the freeway at 1400 Freitas Park in Turlock, California. Both locations have a variety of different firearm manufacturers such as: Kimber, Smith and Wesson, Sig Sauer, Night Hawk, Wilson Combat, Heckler and Koch, CZ, Browning, Remington, Savage, Sturm Ruger, Ed brown, and plus many more. Not only do we carry new firearms but our Downtown location has used firearms too. We also stock different manufacturers for all your gun cleaning, optics, reloading, ammunition, targets, and much more accessory needs. We strive to give great customer service and too treat everyone equally.

LAX Firing Range was established on January 2, 1995.  The range offers 14 fully-automated and well-ventilated shooting lanes.  Each lane is up to 25 yards long and can be adjusted to varying lanes.  Shooters can fire with all handgun calibers, high-powered rifles and shotguns can be fired in the range as well.  Shotguns can be used with 00 Buck or slug rounds; all rifles and shotguns can be shot with our range ammunition only.

We have a large stock of ammunition in a variety of types and calibers.  We sell big name brands like Remington, Winchester and Federal, in addition to our own brand of LAX ammunition.  Our LAX ammo comes in both factory new and reloaded varieties.  Our reloads are a great way to practice in the range for cheap, but without losing any quality.

LAX Firing Range does not sell firearms; however, we do have a large pro shop with gun related accessories.  You can purchase ammunition, tactical gear, knives, rifle kits and much more. Our Los Angeles shooting range also offers law enforcement sales, beginning firearms training and advanced training classes, security guard training, NRA instructor courses and specialized classes.   An ultrasonic gun cleaning service is available right in the range as well.  Don’t forget to come by for our annual glock tournament!

Nevada Safes is owned and operated by Captain James Dillon, Retired, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Las Vegas, Nevada.While serving as a Police Captain, Jim was frustrated as a consumer with the lack of selection and poor customer service when purchasing safes through local stores. This frustration led Jim to establish Gun Safes For Cops, LLC, in 2007. Originally, Gun Safes For Cops was a “Police officers only” company, strictly focused on providing quality safes to the local law enforcement community.

The success of Gun Safes For Cops made Jim realize that the public and local law enforcement in Las Vegas had a need for a wide selection of safes, great prices, friendly customer service and most importantly, professional delivery services. Upon retiring in 2010, Jim took a year off to research quality safe manufacturers and scout out optimal sites that would enable him to serve the general public as well as fellow officers, and on May 1, 2012 Jim officially opened Discount Gun Safe Warehouse to the public.

Since then, Jim has continued to seek ways to improve his services while providing a quality customer service experience. By 2014, Jim had a core of quality safe manufacturers and decided to rebrand Discount Gun Safe Warehouse while expanding the warehouse and showroom to offer customers a larger in-stock selection. With a new name and a new look, Discount Gun Safe Warehouse changed to Nevada Safes and relocated to the current location at 5250 W. Charleston Boulevard.

Jim is proud to have served his country as a military veteran of the United States Air Force (1976-1980), and his community, as a 30-year veteran of the police department (1980-2010). Now Jim is excited about his new career providing quality safe products, accessories and technical services that support private citizens and their property.
